Chamber Relaunches Business Directory

 

 

The Chamber has re-launched the popular online business directory located at www.KamloopsChamber.ca and in the process added a number of value-added benefits. 

 

The Chamber online directory provides a free-of-charge listing to any business in Kamloops. The onus is on the member or business to register themselves in the directory, which will have the businesses create a unique username and password that will allow a listing to be updated any time of day or night. Members are highlighted within the directory with a Chamber “member” logo and given priority ranking when clients search the directory.

 

One of the value-added benefits to the directory is the new Premium Listings. Both members and non-members can register for a Premium Listing, which is a full page within the directory that is completely customizable by the user. These listings are designed for people who want to enhance their web presence and for businesses who do not wish to incur the expense of setting up and operating a complete website. Premium Listings come with a customizable email and web address, which can be used on business cards and other collateral material. An example would be yourbusiness@KamloopsChamber.ca or www.yourbusiness.KamloopsChamber.ca. Premium Listings have the ability to place unlimited links, upload sales or promotional sheets, update or amend contact details, or add graphics and logos, all at the convenience of the user.

 

“A Premium Listing is like your own mini-website within the directory that you can completely control. And with your own unique email and web address you can promote your mini-website to anyone you choose,” said Deb McClelland, Executive Director with the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce. “We’re averaging 3,600 unique visitors per month to our site with a total of 19,868 unique visitors for the year to date. We’re confident the business community will see the value our online business directory can offer.”

 

A Premium Listing on the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce online business directory is available to members and non-members for an annual fee of $299.00 and $399.00 respectively.

The Kamloops Chamber of Commerce has been operating since 1896 and is a membership based, non-profit business association with a mandate to provide benefits to members, advocate on behalf of the membership and operate a Visitor Information Centre. The current President is Rick Heney who sits with 13 other directors and representatives to create policy and govern the Chamber to meet the needs of the organization.
