New Chamber of Commerce President announced

The Kamloops Chamber of Commerce announced its new president for the 2011-2013 term today.

Maurice Hindle, Marketing and Sales Manager of Moly-Cop Canada, was named Chamber President for the 2011-2013 term.

“I am delighted to serve the chamber as president,” stated Hindle.  “I look forward to continuing with our strategic plan and building on the strong relationships we have fostered over the years.”

Hindle has served on the board of directors for the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce for five years and moves into this position mid-year due to a re-aligning of the executive last March.  He will continue in this role until March 2013.  Peter Aylen served in the capacity of president for 18 months to facilitate that change.

“Maurice is a strong leader and committed to the chamber movement,” stated Peter Aylen, Immediate Past President.  “I look forward to the year ahead as he has always been a key player in setting our strategic plan and goals.”

The new board executive will be voted upon at the next board meeting in November.
