Kamloops Chamber ED appointed to BC Chamber board

Deb McClelland, Executive Director of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, was appointed to the board of the British Columbia Chamber of Commerce at the organization’s annual general meeting in Vancouver this past weekend.

McClelland will be holding the one-year appointment as a representative of the BC Chamber Executives, the organization for which she holds the position of President this year.

“This is a great opportunity for us to have a voice at the BC Chamber’s table”, says McClelland.  “I’m happy to be representing my peers on this board.”

"The Kamloops Chamber board is pleased and honored that Deb has been appointed to the BC Chamber board and believes this is a reflection on Deb's ability and the respect in which she is held by her peers ," states Peter Aylen, President of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce.

The BC Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit organization representing the interests and concerns of local Chambers of Commerce and corporate members from across the province. Through the BC Chamber of Commerce members access benefits, partnerships, and networking opportunities. Most importantly, the BC Chamber of Commerce routinely advocates to provincial and federal governments on behalf of its members to ensure that their concerns are being heard. The BC Chamber of Commerce - the Voice of Business in BC - gives the business community a presence on the provincial level.
