“The Business Excellence Awards are underway and we are excited to celebrate the best businesses in Kamloops.”

Kamloops, BC (May 14, 2008) – Kamloops Chamber of Commerce representatives announced the call for nominations has officially begun for the 2008 Business Excellence Awards. Along with the call for nominations, the complete list of award categories were unveiled, highlights were made about the sponsors participating to date – including TD Canada Trust Small Business Banking as the Premier Event Sponsor - and spectators were treated to a glimpse into the much-anticipated theme for the Awards Gala Dinner.

“Staging the Business Excellence Awards is an important role for the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and we take great pride in providing a superb event where Kamloops’ top businesses can be celebrated,” said Rick Heney, President of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce. “So far this year we have had tremendous support from the business community and we want to create an event that provides value to all participants involved.”

“Sponsoring the 2008 Business Excellence Awards allows us to partner with an event that has like-minded values,” said Traci Froese, Small Business Advisor with TD Canada Trust Small Business Banking. “We develop programs that assist small business owners to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace. We provide a competitive advantage with longer banking hours and advisors who provide personal service. The Chamber puts on an event that celebrates businesses who have honed their competitive advantage, that’s why this partnership makes sense for us.”
